I saw Moonrise Kingdom tonight. Not gonna lie I really loved it, I totally dug its precocious twee vibe and thought it was really cute, but it was sooooo white. like I literally cannot remember seeing any POC in it, even as bloody extras. Just then I read a comment on ONTD saying that apparently wes anderson said in an interview that he doesn’t write for many female characters and POC characters because he only wants to write about what he knows. The fuck is this???? Isn’t that exactly what the creator of Girls said when people called her out on her show’s whiteness? I can’t…
New York Fashion Week has been been such a flop so far
I’ve been saying it for years, NYFW is always the least exciting FW (out of the four major cities). All I’m seeing right now are stale trends from a couple of years ago being recycled again? It’s not fresh or fun or beautiful or interesting or anything fashion SHOULD be. Blah bring on London already
